Over the last 50 years the club has been at a few locations in Chippenham. The last one being in the premises of Westinghouse where it attracted several Westinghouse staff, some of whom are still members of the club. During this time it has acquired chess players from the Corsham club when that closed down. As well as having members from Chippenham, it also boasts players from Calne to Corsham and Melksham to the outskirts of Swindon.
